How Our AI Boxes Work

Our AI Boxes upgrade your car’s media system by adding Android apps like YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Google Maps, and more — directly on your car screen.

1. BMW AI Box (ID6 / ID7 / ID8 / ID9)

Compatibility:

  • Works with BMWs with factory Apple CarPlay (wired or wireless)

  • Supports iDrive ID6, ID7, ID8, ID9

  • Model year: typically 2017+

How It Works:

  1. Plug In & Initialize

    • Connect the AI Box to the CarPlay USB port for first-time setup.

    • Wait 20–40 seconds for initialization.

  2. Wireless Android Mode

    • Once initialized, the AI Box runs Android apps wirelessly on the BMW screen.

  3. Apps & Streaming

    • Access YouTube, Netflix, Maps, Spotify, and more

    • Audio routed through car speakers

  4. Switch Between Systems

    • CarPlay remains fully functional

    • You can switch between Apple CarPlay and Android apps anytime

2. AI Box for Other Cars (Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Haval, GMC, Ford, MG, VW, Kia, etc.)

Compatibility:

  • Works in cars with wired Apple CarPlay (and some wireless CarPlay systems, depending on model)

  • Requires USB CarPlay port for setup in most cases

How It Works:

  1. Plug & Play

    • Connect the AI Box to the car’s CarPlay USB port

  2. Wireless Android Operation

    • After setup, the AI Box can run Android apps wirelessly

  3. Access Android Apps

    • YouTube, Netflix, Google Maps, Spotify, and more

  4. Audio & Video

    • Audio plays through car speakers

    • Video appears on the car’s screen alongside or instead of CarPlay

Notes for All Cars

  • The AI Box does not replace Apple CarPlay. CarPlay remains fully functional.

  • Initial USB connection may be required for setup.

  • Connect to WiFi (phone hotspot or home network) for streaming apps.

  • Make sure your car’s CarPlay is activated and working.


 


How to connect with my car?
Simply plug it into your car's USB port, and you're ready to go. It will connect automatically with your car. Go to the media menu where you're able to connect a new device. You'll find the name "Smart Ride box". Connect it as you connect any Apple Carplay device.
The box includes both a standard USB and USB-C cable,
 
Compatible with your car model if it is equipped with Apple Carplay.

Powerful Android System:
Our AI box runs on its own Android operating system, developed by us per car brand. It runs both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
